Phoned to discuss my requirements with two super staff, Rhiannon and Kirsty who assured me of their company's products and delivery service which was important. The price matched any on the Internet and delivery was exactly when I wanted it... almost to the minute ! The driver also positioned the bulk bag to the very best spot possible. I was quite surprised, I must say. Well done since it was sent to Scotland. The 40mm green slate was slightly larger than I was expecting, but that was fine too. Gravelmaster has my unreserved recommendation. My contractor took a note of this company because he was impressed too.

Excellent product and pleased with the purchase. The area I covered is under very large and very old oak trees and I was concerned that my leaf sucker/ blower might be too powerful and suck up the slate, but the slate I bought (40mm) is heavy enough to avoid this. The delivery was made as promised and a very helpful driver dropped the two large bags where I requested. So all in all five stars!

The use of slate in borders and planters as a mulch greatly reduces water evaporation whilst still maintaining permeability for plants and wildlife. Our Green Slate Chippings are popular products in our slate chippings range because of their unique colour. 40mm Green Slate Chippings are also perfect for filling in any gaps between your patio slabs. Many of our customers use this slate for borders and general landscaping.

Green Slate Chippings 40mm Colour and Shape

The 40mm Green Slate is a naturally quarried product which may result in slight variations in formation, size, colour or shape including a reddish vein. The size and flat angular shape of the slate makes it ideal for a wide variety of uses. The 40mm Green Slate is also available in a 20mm this is an ideal size for garden rockeries and water features.
